EMT - Basic

The EMT career is a fast-paced profession that allows extreme satisfaction through helping others. Our course is the 2011 Idaho EMS Curriculum (IEC) Initial Course. This includes patient assessment, airway management, hemorrhage control, management of fractures, care of special injuries, emergency childbirth, environmental emergencies, transportation of the sick and injured, and radio communications. Additionally, you will have opportunity for clinical hands-on training in one of the many acute care facilities or emergency response units. Successful completion of the course will qualify you to take the written and psychomotor skills portions of the NREMT exam leading to certification. The state of Idaho recognizes NREMT certification for Licensing.

EMT - Advanced (AEMT)

Are you ready to step forward in your EMS career goal by obtaining your EMT-advanced certification?

The Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced AEMT course builds on the EMT-Basic curriculum. Students are instructed in advanced anatomy and physiology, enhanced patient assessment skills, acid-base balance, advanced knowledge of shock and shock management, IV therapy and fluid resuscitation, and advanced airway management including tracheal intubation.

This course qualifies you for the State of Idaho and National Registry EMT-advanced testing and certification.
