Steps for New Students - Degree SeekingApply
We accept applications year round and there are no deadlines to apply except for certain health programs.
1. Complete an Application for Admission
Submit the application online (quickest/easiest) or Print and mail or deliver the application to any One Stop location.
2. Pay the $25 application fee
Pay $25 application fee on-line with VISA/Mastercard/Discover by phone: 208-562-3000 with VISA/Mastercard/Discover, by mail with a check, or in person at any CWI One Stop location.with Cash/Check/VISA/Mastercard or Discover.
3. Apply for Financial Aid
You may qualify for financial assistance. Apply for financial aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. FAFSA School Code - E01695
4. Submit Transcripts
First time students should submit a final high school transcript, GED scores, and/or all college transcripts. College students with less than 14 transferrable credits will need to submit official high school transcripts. CWI will also accept faxed high school transcripts as official if they are faxed directly from the school with cover letter/letterhead, have “official” clearly marked on the transcript and have an official school signature/stamp on the transcript.
5. Take the COMPASS Placement Exam or submit ACT scores
These scores will be used for placement into appropriate coursework. College of Western Idaho - ACT college code 0932.
6. Attend New Student Orientation or an Advising Session
All new students must attend. You will be given tips about how to be successful in college, meet with an advisor, and register for classes. Call 208-562-3000 to speak with our One Stop Student Services Center.
7. Purchase Books
Books can be purchased at the CWI Nampa Campus, Ada County Campus or online through our accrediting partners’ website www.bookstore.csi.edu.
8. Pay Tuition
Pay by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Come see us in person at the CWI One Stop Student Services Center, 5500 East Opportunity Drive, Nampa, Idaho 83687 or call us @ 208-562-3000 with your credit card information.
