What Kind of Career Can You Expect?
This program provides training needed to enter all types of administrative support. Graduates will find positions with large corporations, small businesses, government organizations, and more.
Administrative assistants often support the work of managers, preparing presentations, managing calls, handling correspondence, and responding to various needs of the business as they arise.

- Keyboarding proficiency is a plus
- College-level reading skills
- Fluency in the English language
What Will You Learn to Do?
- Manage and maintain all aspects of an office environment
- Master the use of the latest workplace technology and computer software for word processing, presentations,spreadsheets, databases, and electronic calendars
- Make travel arrangements
- Plan and schedule meetings
- Use e-tools such as the the internet/ e-mail
- Troubleshoot problems
- Work with a team and also independently
- Supervise employees
- Work as a team and self-directed.
- Communicate professionally, both in person and in writing
- Make decisions and solve problems
- Operate and maintain office equipment
A certificate can be completed in one or two semesters, an Associate Degree option is available for those who complete two years and all requirements.
Those who complete an Associates Degree may find higher paying jobs and the opportunity for promotion.
What Kind of Degree(s) Can I Earn?
- Associate of Applied Science Degree - AAS (approximately two-years)
- Advanced Technical Certificate - ATC (approximately 16 months)
- Technical Certificate - TC (approximately one-year)
- Postsecondary Technical Certificate - PTC (usually less than one-year)
