Biography

Shannon joined CWI as the Coordinator for Veterans and Military Families in January of 2024 and has admitted openly, multiple times, that this is her dream job. Having served as the Veteran Certifying Official at the College of Southern Idaho, she found a population of students that she loves and plans to continue to serve in whatever capacity she is allowed. While not able to serve herself, she does come from a line of Veterans and believes that serving them in education is only one in a million ways we can give back to those who have given us so much.

Shannon hails from northernish Idaho (Cambridge /Council area) but has lived in many other places, including Nevada, California, Florida, Utah, and Hawaii, but knows that Idaho has always been and will continue to remain her home. The people and the pine trees hold her heart. She graduated from Boise State University, with an undergraduate degree and is now working towards her master’s in public health, where she will continue to focus her work on serving Veterans.

Shannon lives with her three children, all four-legged, and an impressive collection of Star Wars treasures. When not at work or school Shannon spends most of her time with her dogs, helping different non-profits in the Treasure Valley, watching football, or playing outside. She is eager to meet all students and looks forward to serving them as best she can.
