A community college’s mission is to offer excellent postsecondary education at the freshman and sophomore level. Accordingly, most community college faculty are not engaged in scholarly research as is often the case in universities.

Rather, the hallmark of a community college faculty member is dedication to the teaching-learning process and personal passion for helping students succeed, meet their goals, and meet their potential.

Whether you take non-credit, work place development, credit professional technical, or academic transfer classes, you will find that every one of your CWI instructors is experienced, highly competent, academically prepared, and 100 percent dedicated to helping you reach all your worthy goals.

As much as you will be amazed at your instructors, you will be equally awed by the professional, student-friendly staff at all levels of the College of Western Idaho. Faculty Senate

The Faculty Senate is the official representation of the faculty of the College of Western Idaho. The Faculty Senate oversees matters of curriculum and instruction, and provides input on official policies relating to faculty.
