Faculty & StaffA community college’s mission is to offer excellent postsecondary education at the freshman and sophomore level. Accordingly, most community college faculty are not engaged in scholarly research as is often the case in universities. Rather, the hallmark of a community college faculty member is dedication to the teaching-learning process and personal passion for helping students succeed, meet their goals, and meet their potential. Whether you take non-credit, work place development, credit professional technical, or academic transfer classes, you will find that every one of your CWI instructors is experienced, highly competent, academically prepared, and 100 percent dedicated to helping you reach all your worthy goals. As much as you will be amazed at your instructors, you will be equally awed by the professional, student-friendly staff at all levels of the College of Western Idaho. From the President’s office to tutoring, from student services to facilities maintenance, you will find individuals who understand you and your questions and needs. The staff at CWI see you not only as a customer who deserves the best service available, but also as a partner in your college career. It is the desire of all CWI faculty and staff that you feel welcome at your college.
