Lower Division Transfer Students

Lower Division Transfer, also known as General Education, students are earning an Associate of Art (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree. These degrees are designed to prepare students for further study at a four-year college or university.

CWI has many transferable AA or AS degrees available to tailor general education requirements in the area of a student’s interest. Students who plan to transfer in a subject area not represented in the specific transfer degrees should use the Liberal Arts AA as their CWI program of study. This AA has the most flexibility. Together with an advisor, students can develop a plan to earn a CWI Liberal Arts degree while meeting the lower division requirements required for the bachelor degree they ultimately desire.
